When you might need Root Canal Treatment ?
There are a few symptoms that mean you might need a Root Canal Treatment (RCT)
- Deep decay or darkening of gums or tooth
- Severe pain while chewing or biting
- Lingering sensitivity to hot or cold, even after the sensation has been removed
- Chipped or cracked tooth
- Boil on gums
- Swollen or tender gums
Usually, the alternative to RCT is taking the tooth out (extraction). When given a choice between tooth extraction and RCT, always opt for RCT because nothing looks, feels or functions like your natural tooth. So, act immediately when you experience any symptoms and save your tooth!
